We had a wonderful, snuggly, sleepy, playful weekend.
Slept in on Saturday.
Made the perfect carafe of morning coffee.
Built block towers.
Played with alphabet flashcards.
Walked to get the mail.
Lunch at Jimmy John's Deli.

Lunch at Jimmy John's Deli.
Saw a gorgeous rainbow.
Saw both ends of it.
Sunday breakfast at the Cracked Egg, our favorite.
Said "hi" to little girls.
Ate their famous coffee cake.
Ate a whole "lil chicks" platter.
Mmmm . . . bacon!
Mmmm . . "Veggy Benny" with spinach, avocado and tomatoes.
Took long afternoon naps.
Sang the alphabet song.
Played with trucks.
Read as many storybooks as possible.
Played with pup-pups.
Played with trains.
Snuggled some more.
Loved each other.

Sure, have fun without us....
Sounds like my weekend - only my James is much bigger!!!
Trader Joe's run - homemade crab cakes Saturday - gym Sunday morning - organic bagels with smoked salmon, red onion, cream cheese, and tomato, coffee, granola, banana - hiked Mt. Tom - 8" of fresh powder, 40 degrees and sunny...then spent the afternoon snuggling on the couch...
after our phone conversation about the cake......e-mail me the recipe....please
isn't it great that the best weekends are spent at home doing absolutely nothing! Lets do this every weekend.
ok, how old is james?
he slept in????
and what's with all the cooking? i seriously need to pick your brain and see how you do all of this.
my husband has been begging me to make braciole ( i am italian, he is not) since before ryan was born. i never seem to have the energy or time to do it.
btw
i always order the veggie benny at the cracked egg, too. who doesn't LOVE hollandaise sauce!
It looks to me as though those big, big smiles are saying 'I am a very lucky boy. So much love!'
ah, I love weekends like that. Sounds perfect. :)
Those are a couple of nice a$$es on your sidebar....
Why thanks--I like to show 'em off once in a while.
OK, the close-up of James is my new favorite shot of him. I'm going to print it and finally replace the picture I have from when he turned 1!
