Crocs and Babysitting

We had a really fun weekend! So much so that I will need to divide it into two posts.

Fist, James got a pair of Crocs! They are soooo cute! They are Mickey Mouse Crocs (our friend Andy will be VERY jealous!!) LOL

On Saturday night I babysat for Gini and Bill while they grabbed dinner out. Before we left Gini brought down some toys for James that Garrin isn't really intested in anymore . . . OR SO SHE THOUGHT!! The first toy is this little doorway that has a working mailbox, doorbell, and all sorts of fun things. Well, here are some pics--and Garrin looks pretty interested, doesn't he??

The other toy is a little zebra that bounces and rocks. Gini said that Garrin hasn't even looked at it recently--but OH NO, not after James got to ride it! Garrin hopped on, and I think he looks like great rodeo material, don't you??

Lastly, Garrin tried to give James some pointers on how fast to go on a ride-on car. Here is one of his lessons:

Chris' Pathfinder Fun

Some of you may know that Chris picked up an old Nissan Pathfinder to tinker around with. (You know he loves working on cars). Anyhow, "tinkering" became PULLING THE ENGINE OUT due to some poor seals (the truck was leaking oil.) I don't know the whole story, but here are some pics to document the process.

Chris was waiting on some parts for a while, and so he had the truck in the driveway without an engine in it. When it came time to put the engine back in, he needed some help getting the truck back into the garage. Here is a video with Tyler, our next door neighbor's son driving, and Chris using his ATV to do the job. Watch as the front tires come off of the ground (on the ATV). CRAZY!!!

James' Own Laptop

Since James has been having so much fun with Chris' laptop, I pulled out the toy one that we gave him for Christmas.

Here he is having some fun with it!

And here he is just being cute!

Laptops, Cars & Silliness!

Happy Wednesday! I have a few pics to post, so here goes:

Last night James kept carrying two drinks around. It was pretty funny. He even kept trying to drink them at the same time.

Here is a video from this morning of James playing with his Dada's laptop. What happened to the days of wooden toys?

James has been making little "vroom, vroom" noises when he plays with his cars. I'll try to get a video of it.

Here he is being silly.

Dinosaur Park

We took the boy to Dinosaur Park in Aliante today. They have these great little water features that provide tons of fun for little boys who are new to walking! This alligator spouts water from it's mouth every 10 minutes or so.

It was actually a pretty nice day! Only 96 degrees!

Here is a cute video of James.

Seriously Sesame Street!

Just so you know, watching Sesame Street can be a VERY SERIOUS affair. What the heck was Elmo saying to make my little boy look so serious??

Stair Climbing with Dada

James has been trying to climb the stairs every chance he gets! He actually climbed all the way to the top when he was 10 months old, but for some reason he got scared and then lost interest. It hasn't been until recently that he has started up again.

Now he will sort of bounce up and down on each stair before he climbs up to the next one. And, if you say, "I'm gonna get YOU!" he shrieks really loudly and BOLTS up the stairs. It is really cute.

They made it to the top!

A little video of the stair climbing adventure.

Blocks!

James loves his blocks from Pottery Barn. He has started to learn how to stack them!

Booster Seat

Well, James is 13 months old and now in a booster seat! We said "buh-bye" to the highchair. He had been using a booster seat at Auntie Gini's and at restaurants, so we decided that it was a good time to make it a permanent switch. He loves it!

James and Daddy have been playing a lot on Daddy's laptop. Auntie Gini showed us a website that is for kids. Anytime James presses a key, a little animated figure pops up and says, "Peek-a-boo!" James is fascinated with it!

Here is James playing with his best friend, Rocco! I am really pleased with how well all four dogs are doing with James. Of all of them, I know Bowie is the most jealous. He'll probably never get over it, as he was the "first" dog!

The other day when I went into his room to bring him down for the morning, James kept pointing at his teddy bears up on top of his wardrobe. He said "Ish! Ish!" over and over again. We don't know what this means yet, LOL. He said it last week during the big rains that we had too. Anyhow, he really wanted to play with one of the big teddy bears, so I brought down the one he got for Christmas from his Grandma and Grandpa Ferguson. He dragged it around all morning!

Puppy Dog Tails

If you can believe it, James isn't in this post! (He must have been sleeping when I took these).

Here is Rocco, as usual, sticking his nose into EVERYTHING . . .

I'm not sure what could have been so interesting to Rocco and Gino here . . . a TREAT maybe???

Here is lazy butt Bowie. Rosie must have been taking a nap upstairs too. Now SHE is a REAL dog. Does her own thing. Gotta love that!
