We had wanted to get Ella a playhouse for her birthday, but we couldn't find one we really liked. They were too small, or too pink, or too fancy. I also didn't want to buy a brand new one, and instead had been hoping for a great find on Craigslist.
Well look what I found!
Ella is loving her new little house! The porch, the bench, the mailbox, the half-door,
she can boss her brother around (hey, it is HER house, don't forget!)
Looks like James is enjoying it too!
I hope they will get a lot of use out of it. It retails for $280 and I got it for $65!
That's what I would call a real steal.
Love you baby!

Mr. Puzzle Man
James has been really interested in the United States of America puzzle for the last few days. He played it on Friday night when Olivia the babysitter was over, and he has played it a couple of times a day since. He was very excited to put it together with his Grandpa on Sunday. He made it again this morning and I asked him if we could take a photo.
I asked him a few questions.
"James, why do you like doing the USA puzzle?"
"Because it is fun, and because I like to play with it every day."
"What is your favorite state on the puzzle?"
"Maine."
"Why?"
"Because Grandpa lives in Maine."
My heart is just BURSTING with that answer!!!

A Little Piece of Heaven at Sandy Beach
We are lucky that about 20 miles away from us there is a nice lake called Crystal Lake. We were able to head out there yesterday and spend the afternoon at Sandy Beach. I love it because it is very clean, the water is warm and there are areas marked off "deep" and "shallow" so there is a great area for James and Ella.
Needless to say, this is our new beachy spot. Close to home, not too far of a drive, close parking, and it only cost us $5 to park. A good deal all around. I can't wait to head back!
